Weekly Junior Wrap: U18s grind out wins.

Saturday saw the U14 Boys take an unfortunate heavy loss to London Legends on the road with the final score 103-27. Gaël Jacobs Da Silva led the team with 10 followed by Riley Erskine with 7.



A weekend of unfavourable results for the U16s as London Stars I grabbed the win from the boys in the capital ending the game 113-44. Jaziah Mussington added 18 to the Suffolk sides scoreline.


The U16 Girls took a tough loss to Luton on Sunday. The first quarter saw the girls trailing behind their opposition by 10, before making a comeback to just 2 at the half. The girls continued on their energetic streak advancing to a winning scoreline through to just the last four minutes of the game before finishing 54-48. Despite the loss, Kara Bassil contributed 18 points for the team followed by Ella Heard with 8. Anna Koscielny-Lamaire also added another 7.


"The girls played some great basketball." Coach Kev Manning added.



A weekend of success for the U18's after 2/2 wins on the road from the teams.

The U18 Men travelled to Lewisham on Saturday morning to challenge London Thunder in the NBL. After a tense match-up, the boys grinded out a 3 point win to close out the game, 75-72. Femi Edu led the scorers with a huge 27 points assisted by teammates, Harry Laws (20) and Fin Morgan (11).


The U18 Women secured a win in Reading on Sunday afternoon. Cerys Leach took control of the teams scoring with 23 points whilst DeAnna Carrington aided with 14. Issy Roberts also contributed 10 for the team taking the score to 75-30.
