Weekly Junior Wrap: The U12's put up a fight as the U18 teams take victory

The U12 Mixed team walk away from the weekend with mixed results after a tough loss on Saturday to a competitive Cambridge Cats team on the road. The 80-62 loss pushed the team to come back fighting for Day 2 of their double header weekend. A strong performance over North Herts Knights on Sunday saw the team grab a 62-58 win with Freya Drane contributing 21 points to lead the team.   

 

The U16 Girls suffered a loss to a good Richmond Knights team on Saturday. The girls fell to defeat in a 97-32 scoreline.

 

The U16 Boys went down against London Thunder 99-59. After an awesome first half, the team led by 10 points with 3 minutes to go in the half. However, the team shortly fell from their dominance in the game leaving them to take the loss. Jaziah Mussington led the scorers with 16 points followed by Alfie Morris-Saunders with 11. Okeri Hambira and Tobi Dada also scored a further 10 and 9 for the team.

 

After an unlucky second half to the season, the U18 Men gained another win to add to the column after a 8 point win over London Legends, closing the game 83-75. Harry Laws put forward a 21 point piece to the scoreline with Fin Morgan just behind with 15.

 

The U18 Women closed the weekend out for IBC juniors with a 69-57 win on the road to London Thunder. Cerys Leach scored 23 points for the girls. A joint 11 points were scored by Anna Cartwright and Eliza Bartholomew  followed by Katie Yorke with another 10.
