Weekly Junior Wrap: Solid performances from our boys teams

Saturday saw the U14 boys lose at Brentwood finishing the game with a final score of 70-86. Gaël Jacobs Da Silva led Ipswich with 35 points while Harry Gladstone gave his efforts with 8.


The U16 Boys kicked off their double header weekend with a win against Oaklands Wolves at HQ Saturday afternoon with a great score of 77-54. Tobi Dada contributed a big 26 points while Okeri Hambira scored 15. On Sunday, the boys fell to defeat when they travelled to the capital to take on London Stars I in the National Cup. The loss was described as a lesson to be learnt as the game closed 118-56 to London Stars. Despite the loss, Jaziah Mussington top scored with 19 points.


The U16 girls National Cup game on Sunday unfortunately got abandoned due to a water leak at Bristol Flyers resulting in a team bonding road trip.


Sunday morning, the U18 Men grabbed a comeback win against a good Oaklands Wolves team away. After being down by 15 at the end of the 1st quarter, the boys pulled together to fight, securing the game 68-59. Robbie Cruickshanks assisted the win with 21 points as Charlie Smythe and Sam Wood joint scored with 16. Coach Danny Manning stated, “It was a great first road win for our boys.” Their success sees them receiving the best Team Performance of the Week.
