It was an overly successful weekend for the Ipswich Basketball Junior teams with both U16 teams getting big wins in their seasons
The U16 Girls secured their 11th win of the season on Sunday to go joint top of the table on wins with a big victory away from home. The final score was 82-72 against London Lions.
Also away from HQ was the U16 Boys who faced the Brixton Topcats. After trailing for most of the game Kalen Gouldbourne scored with 5 seconds left on the clock to avoid overtime and secure the crucial away win. Matt Liddamore top scored with 26 followed by Kalen Gouldbourne (22) and Robbie Cruickshanks (14).
It was a good weekend for the U14 Girls as they defeated Cambridge 56-47. That win sees them sit top in the East 1 conference with an 8-1 record.
The Under 18 Women made the trip to Reading on Sunday. The final score was 79-69 to the Reading Rockets which means the U18W are now 4-2 on the season.
