Weekly Junior Wrap: Home success for our U12s and U16 Boys

Mixed fates this weekend after our junior teams compete in the NBL.

The U16 Boys take the winning spot for Team Performance of the Week for the second week running after their 93-81 win at home against True Vision Elite. Jaziah Mussington top scored leading the team with 20 points as Okeri Hambira followed with an impressive 17.


Sunday saw the U12 Mixed team take a big win against Norfolk Hoopstars with a close score of 76-72. Jacob Geaves dominated in the game coming out with a huge 33 points while Freya Drane showcased her talent with 13.


An unfortunate Sunday morning for the U14 Boys as they suffered a 67-58 loss to Sevenoaks Suns. Gaël Jacobs Da Silva grabbed 24 points, as teammate Harry Gladstone made the top scorers list once again with 16.


The U18 Men took the loss in a thrilling National Cup game against Canterbury Academy Crusaders on Sunday afternoon, closing out the weekend at HQ. After an exciting and promising first half, the boys fell short allowing Canterbury to take the lead. With a score of 102-90, Harry Laws led the team with 19 points. Charlie Smythe also made a contribution with 18 points and Sam Wood who added 14.


Next weekend sees a busy Saturday full of junior action with only the U18 Men battling it out on Sunday!
