Weekly Junior Wrap: 100% success rate for junior teams at home

Peter Hill

It was a split double header weekend for the U18 Boys as on Saturday they lost on the road to the Sussex Storm 91-63. Harry Laws (17), Harrison Gregg (14) and Lewis French (11) were the top scorers. Fortunes were better on Sunday though as in front of the home crowd they managed to come out 105-70 victors against London Greenhouse Pioneers with Lewis French and Harrison Gregg both in the top scores again with 20+ scores and Charlie Smythe scored 23.

The U16 Girls got the victory at HQ against the London Lions with a 90-67 score line. Cerys Leach led the scoring for Ipswich with 31 points. It’s a big weekend coming up for the U16 Girls and the U18 Women as they both feature in a home double header on Sunday in the National Cup Semi-Finals. U16 tip-off is at 12pm and the U18’s follow at 2pm so come down and show your support.

It was also a successful weekend for the U14 Girls who took a 78-38 home win against Norfolk Iceni. Important contributions came from Lili Liddel-Mickovski (23), Tanaia Robinson (14) and Rosie Crapnell (13)
