Weekly Junior Recap: U18 Men dominate as juniors have a strong start

The U12 mixed team started 2024 in full swing as they took a 5 point win against Kings Lynn. With the game ending 69-64, Jacob Geaves dominated producing a monster stat of 40 points. Teammate, Natalia Lawicka, experienced her debut on the top scorers list with 7.


The U18 Men took control of their game against Newham Youngbloods on Sunday grabbing the 103-55 win. Femi Edu shone with 24 followed closely by Sean McEvoy's season high of 20 points. Sam Wood also added 19.


Saturday morning saw the U14 Boys get a hard fought and well deserved win at London Stars II with a close call score of 87-80. Top scorer, Gael Jacobs Da Silva, was in command with a huge 43 points backed by Harry Gladstone once again with 21. Khamanai Fox De Silva contributed 15 for the team.


The U16 Boys also started 2024 comfortably with a win at HQ against Greenhouse 92-24. With a group effort, Tobi Dada scored 17 backed by Tim Rafiu with 15. Jaziah Mussington also put in 14 points to secure the W.


The U14 Girls fell to Milton Keynes on the road Saturday afternoon. With efforts from everyone on the team, the game closed out 126-18.


The U18 women challenged a Divison One CoLA team at HQ on Sunday. Having a depleted team, the girls fell to defeat 96-29. Anna Cartwright scored 9 followed by Eliza Bartholomew with 5.
