MSC UK become latest sponsor of Endeavour Ipswich Basketball Club

Endeavour Ipswich Basketball Club (EIBC) is delighted to announce that Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC UK) Ltd, have joined the growing list of Ipswich based companies investing in the development of basketball in the area. MSC, a global company whose UK head office is based in Ipswich, are making a significant investment in the growth of EIBC. Firmly established as one of the
leading basketball development programmes in the country, EIBC has a thrivingc ommunity programme, national league teams at all age groups and is one of onlyt welve accredited elite basketball academies. Based at Copleston High School inS uffolk, the club also boasts high-level senior teams that include a back-to-back National Cup winning women’s team.

To gain the support and backing of such a big brand shows the ambition of the club and the vision of MSC UK to help the local community, who have seen the work we are doing, not only at the higher levels, but in the Ipswich area and they want to help us grow. A key thing for us as a club is that we remain an affordable hobby for young people and families in the area, and this investment will help us continue to grow while maintaining our high club standards” said Ipswich Basketball Club Head Coach Nick Drane.

As part of this partnership, MSC UK has asked for a portion of the sponsorship to be ringfenced for EIBC’s hardship fund, ensuring that talented young athletes from lower-income backgrounds do not miss out on life-changing opportunities due to
financial constraints. This will help provide crucial support for players who may otherwise have to turn down scholarship opportunities due to financial barriers.
