Endeavour Ipswich Basketball Club’s Senior Women’s team started 2024 in style with a comprehensive win on the road to the reigning league and playoff champions, Team Solent Kestrels 74-45.
Ipswich led from start to finish, and despite showing some obvious signs of rust following the Christmas break, the Suffolk side were able to move to 11-1 on the season – with the usual suspects filling up the stats sheet.
Harriet Welham helped herself to a 26 point, 10 rebound double-double while Liv Forster added 23 points to her season tally. Christabel Osarobo filled up the stats sheet with an incredible 21 rebounds to go with 7 points, 7 assists and 3 steals.
Ipswich now turn their attention to Thames Valley Cavaliers next weekend where they will face the leagues second placed team in a top of the table clash and National Cup Final preview.
