The 1st Annual Makenna Williams Memorial Game

In loving memory of our dear Makenna, Endeavour Ipswich Basketball Club will be hosting the first ever ‘Makenna Williams Memorial Game’ on Thursday the 27th July, at 6:30pm at Copleston Sports Centre.

The event will be a celebration of the life of Makenna, who tragically passed away in June 2022, as well as a celebration of all things Ipswich Basketball, the club Makenna called her ‘second family’.

The game will include male and female Ipswich Basketball legends from the past, with the likes of Harriet Welham and Lee Linton-Hodges set to suit up. Elsewhere, friends and teammates of Makenna’s such as Saruna Gudza and Abbie Yorke will take part, while Ipswich Basketball's ‘stars of the future’ will also be showcasing their talents.

The Memorial Game will be on the Thursday of the Playground2Pro Summer Camp’ will all campers being given free entry. For everyone else, entry will be £5 – and we are hoping to set a record for the biggest recorded crowd ever at Copleston.

Bog Dog Ballin’ will be joining us for the game, and there will be other activities happening before, during and after the game to raise funds and ensure than everyone is in good spirits as we celebrate the life of a much love young person, who loved the club so much.
