Welcome to the IBC Community Basketball League (CBL).
Teams will consist of a minimum of 5 players on the night with teams selected in week 1 of each season. Players will have the option to either sign up as a whole team or sign up as an individual and be paired with other players.

Games will consist of 2x 9 minute halves with running clock. At the end of each session, the League table will be updated and posted to social media along with scores.

A “season” will run in correlation with the Suffolk school’s Terms. E.g. October – Christmas, January – Easter, April – Summer. At the end of each season, the winning team will be crowned with a presentation being made to the by a senior player from Endeavour Ipswich Basketball Club.​​
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the league work?
Teams play 3 games per night, each with 2x 9 minute halves. Wins gain your team 2pts, a loss gains your team 1pt. League placings will be decided on pts and pts differential. At the end of season, the league winner will be presented a trophy by a club senior player.
How often will the league table be updated?
Results and league table will be published via our channels within 24hrs. Fixtures will aim to be released 48hrs before each game week.
Do teams have to bring the same players each week?
No, as long as the team bring 5 players and cover the weekly entrance fee, any 5 can play. For example, if you are ill a friend can replace you.
How many in a team?
We recommend a minimum of 5, maximum 8 to ensure maximum game time between all players.
Can we name our own team?
Yes. You have free choice when naming your team. However, if the name is deemed offensive or derogatory, the cbl reserves the right to change it and will be assigned an NBA team.
What if I can’t make a game week?
That is fine. As long as your team can field five players anyone can take your place.
What if we can’t field a team on game day?
If you cannot field a team for your games in a week, all your games that week will result in a 20-0 loss and will go against your league record. Failure to appear for 3 game weeks in a season, will result in your team being disqualified.
What if I sign-up as an individual?
Game week 1 coaches will place you in a team for the term with other individuals.
When do I have to arrive?
You must arrive 10 minutes before your first game.
